biography
Beau Garrett set out to be a writer at a very early age. He penned his first short story in grade school and has dozens of pages of song lyrics stuffed into files at his home. Describing writing as a necessity, Garrett says it is a vehicle of discovery for him, and a tool that has helped to sharpen his ideas and values.
The path of his life since leaving school has been an unlikely one. It wasnt until after graduating college that he realized his strengths were not fostered in his decided degree.
Re-kindling a childhood desire to be a pilot, Garrett applied and was accepted to a flight school in Atlanta, Georgia. There he received his commercial pilot rating and has enjoyed a successful career as a corporate pilot. His love for literature and for writing continued to incubate as he developed this profession.
Using his own life experience and personal faith as inspiration, Garrett decided to start his first novel. Many outlines, notes and corrections later, the fruit of that decision was realized when he received a contract from Tate Publishing Enterprises offering to publish his first fantasy fiction.

The light of Endera has faded, swallowed by the ambitions of dark-hearted men. Five hundred years of ruthless dictatorship and forced servitude have marked the pages of recent history and cries have gone un-answered. The last remaining hope of mankind has just been captured and enslaved. Although un-able to completely destroy the light, Harbingrey, the darkest of Kings and a pawn to evil far greater than himself, seeks to bring all mankind under the crushing weight of his rule. But hope has not been silent. An ancient prophecy whispers the rise of Yoetna-a fabled power that will un-bind darkness. As Harbingrey moves to destroy this prophecy, a small flame is ignited in the heart of his un-likely servant, called Nud. Nud becomes over-whelmed by visions that invoke feelings he has never known: strength and hope. As Nud begins to uncover the truth, Harbingreys ambition to silence the prophecy leads him ever closer to discovering his servants real identity. Teetering on the revelation that will shift the course of human events, Nud finds himself challenged to follow the voice of his own spirit. He must choose to step into the light, into the view of Harbingreys wrath. Yoetna waits to be released.
